Hobsons has SOLE

Here at Hobsons we have an inspiring mission statement – “We maximise student success and institutional effectiveness to create the world-changers of tomorrow.” This is of course a lovely idea, but how do we actually achieve it? Who are the world changers of tomorrow? As much as we would all like to have an impact in some way, the true world changers are sitting in classrooms across the globe right at this very second.

SOLE, our latest corporate responsibility project, is going to allow us to benefit and inspire these ‘world changers of tomorrow’.

The Challenge of Designing Choices

1In 2008 two US academics, Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein, published a book called
Nudge. Even they did not anticipate the impact it would have on the world and on them. The book became widely read in political and policy circles. Thaler continues to advise the UK’s current Coalition Government. Sunstein has just finished a stint as the Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (sometimes described as ‘the most important job in the White House you’ve never heard of’). It was also picked up by business and the private sector.
