Held in Monument, London last week (3 March 2015), the seventh Hobsons University conference was the largest yet. The venue spanned across two floors in order to accommodate the growth of the event, with nearly 200 attendees hailing from all over the EMEA region.
From migration case studies to ‘What makes good content?’ by Pickle Jar Communications, this year’s conference schedule was full of sessions all aimed at helping institutions to improve their insight and innovation for competitive advantage.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting a workshop at the annual Study UK Conference in London. Attended by over 150 delegates the conference heard from a stellar line up of speakers including Rt Hon David Hanson MP, Shadow Minister for Immigration. The engaged audience of independent providers heard that immigration is good for Britain and that if there was a change of government students would not be part of the net migration target and his party would look for ways to increase clarity around Tier 4, access to work and volunteering opportunities.
Our afternoon session looked at the findings of our second international student survey Beyond the Data: Influencing International Student Decision Making. The audience heard how international students decide where to study and what the most important factors are in their decision making. For those that would like a copy of the presentation you can download it here.
Thanks again to Study UK and conference attendees for a great day!
On Thursday last week Hobsons were delighted to deliver two workshops at the annual UCISA CISG Conference. Our sessions delivered to two full rooms were on going beyond traditional crm with student lifecycle management. It was a great opportunity to discuss Radius and all the additional benefits that it brings with existing partners and potential new partners.
We packed a lot into the Hobsons’ schedule for EAIE 2014, in addition to exhibiting, demonstrating our new Student Lifecycle Management solution Radius, running workshops on “What Do International Students Really Want?” and hosting the M&R reception, we also had a chance to talk with some of our 5,000 fellow delegates and take in some of the sessions.
From Tuesday 30th September through to 4th December 2014, we’re running a series of free webinars designed provide a resource for sharing best practice in the changing education landscape.
